About Me

Noble and Free

Ana Jaras was born in Getafe, Madrid - Spain in 1971.  Having developed a love for languages at a very young age, she studies English and French in the Official School of Languages, as well as carrying out numerous exchange programs abroad.  In 1996, Ana completes her University studies in Business and Tourism at the Official Tourism School in Madrid.

Always fascinated by different countries and cultures, Ana learns the love of becoming a tourist and an inexhaustible traveler. Her extensive exhilarating career in the tourism industry begins in 1991. To the subtle remembrance of each scene visited in her travels, she adds light, color, and emotion.

After a long staying in Paris, where her bond with painting begins, she settles down near the Retiro Park in Madrid and begins to paint scenes and landscapes outdoors. She finds this quite challenging due to the logistics involved, the change of weather conditions and the speed in which the light fluctuates. It is the most spontaneous way to express herself.

Ana doesn't paint any dramatic or disturbing things. Instead, she paints calm and peaceful objects and sceneries. Something nice to look at.

She continues to broaden her education by studying drawing and painting with various instructors as well as participating in the life nude painting sessions at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. Further widening her love for art, Ana attends numerous outdoor painting courses through the school of 'Fenêtres Imaginaires' in Paris (Essaouira, Marrakech, N'Kob, Priego de Córdoba, Praga, Barcelona, La Toscana, Salies de Béarn, Le Crotoy, Belle Île) and the Scottsdale's Art School (Grand Canyon of Colorado National Park).

Ana’s work was selected in the Army Contest, April 2011. Exhibition at the Cuartel General del Ejército de Tierra (Army Headquarters). Madrid.
